Behind the scenes, Hard Truth Hills is the home base of BWQOHT, Inc.
We know, that’s a lot of letters jammed together with no real hope for a pronounceable acronym. But, if you’ve gotten this far, you likely already know what they stand for: Big Woods, Quaff ON!, and Hard Truth.
These are the three brands upon which Hard Truth Hills is built. These are the three brands that grew up out of the Brown County woods and spread out across Indiana, with eyes ever on the horizon.
Big Woods taught us that the woods abide.
Big Woods Restaurant Group opened it’s first restaurant, which started out as Big Woods Brewing Co., in downtown Nashville, Indiana in 2009. Since then, it’s added several locations to it’s roster: Big Woods Pizza Co. (Nashville), Big Woods Bloomington, Big Woods Speedway, Big Woods Franklin, Big Woods Hard Truth Hills (Nashville), and Big Woods Hazel Dell (Noblesville).
Quaff ON! encourages us to live heartily and with gusto.
Quaff ON! Brewing Co. took over brewing for Big Woods in 2012. It carried over early favorite beers, like Busted Knuckle Porter and Six Foot Blonde, and added a full repertoire of other delicious ales, like Pineapple QTFO! IPA and Put A Fork In It Pumpkin Ale. Today, Quaff ON! supplies all Big Woods Restaurant Group locations, as well as retail stores, restaurants, and bars throughout Indiana.
And Hard Truth celebrates a good life hard-won.
Hard Truth Distilling Co. began making its premium craft spirits in the upper rooms of Big Woods Pizza Co. in Nashville in 2015. In 2018, the distilling operation moved to a brand new, 18,000 square foot at facility Hard Truth Hills, where it’s been crafting Hard Truth Straight No Chaser Vodka, Cinnamon Vodka, Gin, White Rum, Toasted Coconut Rum, and its highly-anticipated aged spirits ever since.
Craft is at the heart of all three brands. Each is ever in pursuit of the experience, the adventure, and the quality time that it can share with you and those you hold dear.
